The International Charitable Foundation “International HIV/AIDS Alliance in Ukraine” is looking for candidates to fill the following position: Programme Officer: Field Programmes, Centre
Overall Role: The post-holder is to oversee and support the development of technical and organisational capacity of local NGOs (non-government organisation) and other partner organisations working in the field of HIV/STI and having IDUs (injecting drug users), CSWs (commercial sex workers), MSM (men having sex with men), people with STI (sexually transmitted infections)and prisoners as target groups. To provide hands-on technical assistance to the Alliance-Ukraine grantees including training, mentoring, problem solving and identification of further useful resources.
Based at: Kyiv office.
General Requirements:
-Strong commitment to confronting HIV/AIDS and motivation to work.
-2 years experience in HIV prevention, care and support including overseeing the development and implementation of HIV/AIDS programmes in Ukraine.
-Working experience with/in HIV-service organisations, local NGOs, governmental, and/or international institutions is required.
-Knowledge of epidemiological situation in Ukraine and specifics of HIV/AIDS programmes in the region is desirable.
-Relevant University degree (Public Health, Social Science, Medicine etc.)
-Good command of written and spoken Russian, Ukrainian and English.
-Ability to think clearly and precisely articulate is essential.
-High level of computer literacy.
-Readiness to go to business trips.

S/he must possess good organisation, planning and analytical skills, a sense of collaboration, integrity and mutual understanding, willingness to assist colleagues, be articulate and assertive. Capacity for team work, and willingness to understand and support colleagues, is essential.
